The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. The mission of the Federation is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity. It's membership is comprised of 186 National Societies and it is supported by millions of volunteers around the world. The Federation core programs include: promoting humanitarian principles and values; disaster response; preparedness and risk reduction; and health and care. The mission of Spanish Red Cross is to be closer to vulnerable people at national and international level, through prevention, assistance, rehabilitation and development actions run essentially by volunteers. The vision as a Humanitarian Organisation, working on a volunteer basis and rooted in society, will offer holistic answers to victims of emergencies and disasters, as well as to those vulnerable to social, environmental and health-related problems.

The CaLP is a consortium, composed of 5 international agencies that support capacity building, research and information-sharing on cash transfer programming as an effective tool to help deliver aid in times of crisis. Both the CaLP and IFRC are recognised as leaders in humanitarian cash transfer programming (CTP).
