Description:

Financial services are improved & made more accessible Financial services are defined as savings, credit, and insurance. In this instance we are including any formal financial system; this can include Village Savings and Loans Associations, but would exclude money lenders or family members. Increased access to financial services indicates improved household investment, economy and livelihood security, proxy for future access to financial services and development. The higher the level of financial access, the more engaged people are with the market. Increased access to credit (formal or informal) indicates improved access to productive inputs, household investment, economy and livelihood security, proxy for improved productivity.
