Measure Notes: | This indicator is measured in a standard questionnaire format that asks for estimated percentage allocations of household expenditures within a small set of budget categories (food, health, education, production inputs, shelter, etc.). It is assumed that this information represents a normal year. > Average Households income relative to baseline > Proportion of food expenditure within overall household expenditures relative to baseline > Cost of an average food basket relative to baseline - Needs agreement on average local food basket (basket for family per day/ week/ month) - Needs a breakdown of Households income sources - Needs to consider potential changes in seasonal changes and socio-economic profiles, e.g. during lean season more food is sourced on market hence food expenditure increases, urban Households tend to have more food expenditure due to lower own production. |
