Objectives: |
|
Description: | Number of animal disease outbreaks in a community or in any given geographical area, in a specified time period. Rationale: Animal disease outbreaks increase the likelihood for animals to die, affecting the household's assets, food security and level of vulnerability. If the number of animals affected by disease outbreaks is reduced (due to the intervention) increases livestock productivity. Decrease of disease prevalence indicates improved environmental context, veterinary services and productivity and condition of the herd. |

Progress: Verifying the efficiency of a vaccination campaign Watch Out For! - High numbers of sick animals may indicate the need for vaccination campaigns in order to save and strengthen the remaining healthy animals. |
