| Measure Notes: | HFIAS assesses the prevalence of household food insecurity to detect changes in the household food insecurity situation of a population over time and made to distinguish food secure from food insecure households. - This indicator uses the standard HFIAS protocol, see annex (Annex 29) for guidance sheet. - Assumption is made that the experience of food insecurity causes predictable reactions and responses by the household that can be captured and quantified and summarized on a scale. - The HFIAS can be supported with a ranking exercise to establish most food insecure months or times. - The HFIAS should be used in the household survey, but can as well be used in focus group discussions with the community or particular groups. - Needs to be monitored for all FSL project. |
