The Livelihoods Resource Centre (LRC) of the IFRC, in collaboration with the British Red Cross (BRC), has developed two mobile applications aimed at facilitating the management of the daily activities of saving groups, Mother Clubs (CdM) and microentreprises.

Specifically, these applications support the management of:

savings and credit activities - Akiko app
income-generating activities (IGA) - EasyBiz app

Regarding technical features:

The applications operate autonomously (information is stored solely on the device, with no communication with any server). However, they also allow users to create backups and share them with other devices, without the need for an internet connection.
Multilingual: The applications are currently available in three languages (English, French, Spanish), but new languages can be integrated thanks to the recently developed multilingual module.

Application that enables the recording of key activities of savings and credit groups (such as contributions, loans, repayments, etc.).
The application allows for the configuration of parameters such as contribution amounts, frequency, interest rates, debts, repayment periods, and more, in order to facilitate accurate recording and monitoring. Also, it records all the loans they obtain from the group's common fund and the total amount of savings generated, among other features.
Akiko (from Swahili): Akiba (savings) + Kopa (credit).

It consists of three modules:

Cash flow management for an Income-Generating Activities (IGA), including purchases, sales, etc.;
Inventory management of assets linked to the IGA;
Definition and monitoring of a simplified business plan for the IGA (business idea, financial planning, task tracking, etc.).

EasyBiz also includes configuration options to facilitate data entry, and its modular design allows it to adapt to users' specific needs.
